Webcrawl Wednesdays: A Thousand Words edition

Hi all! I haven’t had a lot of free time to read, thanks to my dissertation, so this week’s linkspam is mostly photos. And, despite what my title says, they’re all worth well over a thousand words.

The Evolution of Hollywood Through Anne Leibowitz’ Lens– Scorchingly hot men and women photographed by one of the best photographers in living memory.

via Kals, a fantastic set of photos of Partition from the BBC news archive.

From times gone by to history in the making- a TIME photoessay on the revolution in Egypt.

A visual love letter to the City of Lovers- heartstoppingly gorgeous images of Paris in black and white.

And finally, I meant to post this last week, but hey, better late than never, right? The Atlantic does a photo feature on India’s WC win. Amazing, beautiful images.
